“ 1st Impressions, beautifully decorated modern Indian restaurant. The cheerful and friendly staff were attentive and adaptable to our needs. One waitress being trained was just as pleasant and gracious as her trainer. Manager was right on top of everything without being overbearing or pushy. Food service was timely and impeccable, not rushed at all. No drinks today for our table, but other cocktails being served looked refreshing. The food !!! - everything came out hot and freshly prepared from starters to mains, we had no room for desserts today. The portions were really nice, the chef truly loves to cook and deliver high quality dishes as not one dish for our table of 5 didn't deserve the 5 stars. Everything was quite delicious. Here with 2 older adults that truly loved their experience as they were forced to eat something besides their traditional curry dishes. Amazed at the flavors and they will now be ordering other items besides their usual dishes next time they eat indian. Indi's should be had when in search of Indian cuisine in Bournemouth. I wish them well and hope they are around for a long time. Indi's... I hope you continue the course and keep serving fresh authentic Indian cuisines for all to enjoy. ”

“ Our experience this evening was brilliant from start to finish. The service was second to none and everyone was so friendly and happy to see us with smiles on their faces. Our drinks came in good time with our popadoms with 3 healthy portioned dips. We didn’t not have to wait long for our food and we both throughly enjoyed the food. A very kind touch was when my girlfriend left the table, a waitress came and folded her napkin for her and pulled out the chair for her. We ended our meal and the manager treated us to a free drink which topped off the meal and experience. I will definitely be returning. ”

“ Indi’s in Westbourne turned out to be a real gem. The moment we stepped in, we were taken by the warm, earthy tones of the interior — calming, welcoming, and stylish without trying too hard. That setting instantly makes you feel at ease, like you’re in good hands and can just enjoy the moment. The menu struck an admirable balance between the traditional and the contemporary — a feat not many manage. What really stood out for me was the use of seafood, which is often overlooked in Anglicised versions of Indian menus. Yet in India, especially in southern and coastal regions, seafood plays a big role, and it was refreshing to see that reflected here. Indi’s honours that beautifully. We started with the Fresh Garlic Scallop, Soft-Shell Crab, and Indi’s Selection — a plate of malai chicken, meat samosa, onion bhaji and chicken pakora. Everything was spot on, but the scallop really stayed with me. Perfectly cooked, soft and sweet, with garlic and herbs giving it just enough of a nudge into Indian territory without overwhelming its delicate flavour. A clever little dish. For mains, we had the South Indian Chicken Curry and the Chennai Machli Curry. Both were excellent, full of flavour and depth. The fish curry especially impressed me — a tender sea bass, prawns and calamari steeped in a rich and creamy coconut-based sauce. It was a testament to how harmoniously seafood and Indian spices can coexist when done right. Service was excellent throughout — relaxed but attentive, and I’ve got to give a special mention to Minuu, who looked after us with such warmth — she really made the whole experience even better. All in all, what I found in Indi's was a kitchen confident in its heritage yet curious enough to explore. They get a lot right there — tasty food, lovely atmosphere, and a real sense of care. As someone who sees gastronomy as a gateway to understanding place, history, and people, I left feeling well-fed in every sense. ”

“ Outstanding meal! I've not been for a few years, but friend and I went this week. Absolutely fantastic meal, everything we had was exceptional. The staff were the loveliest and most professional waiting service in the area, they were faultless. Definitely the best Indian restaurant locally by far!! As a side note, the other diners were quiet, respectful and not groups of mouthy 'lads' out on a Friday night making a load of noise, drinking pints and having no consideration to anyone else in a 5 mile radius!! ”
